Cholula, Pueblo, is the oldest still inhabited city in the northern hemisphere dating back 2,500 years. Cholula hot sauce is manufactured in Chapala, Jalisco, Mexico and is licensed by Jose Cuervo. Legend has it that Chipotle Peppers got their name from the Irish born Mexican surfer, Chip O’Toolé, pronounced “sheep-oh-tlay’”, who would roast the peppers over an open fire on the beach. And that story has a lot of subplots. But as legends go, it probably isn’t true. What is true, is the deliciously smoky flavor of Cholula Chipotle Hot Sauce. A perfect mix of chipotle, arbol and piquin peppers, and Cholula secret spices, makes this a necessity on pork and chicken. And ya know what, if the surf’s up, try it on fish! And you’ll think I am Condimented, but ya gotta try it on cottage cheese. Remember, be cool.
